4 Tons of Gold Discovered in Karakalpakstan

In Karakalpakstan, a Chinese investor discovered four tons of gold at the “Urusoý” deposit, covering an area of 200 hectares.

At current prices, the value of the discovered reserves is estimated at approximately $563 million.

Special attention was also paid to the processing of mineral raw materials. One million tons of industrial salt from the “Barsakelmes” deposit is sold annually without processing.

At the “Kuskanataw” deposit, plans include processing mirabilite to produce up to 45,000 tons of sodium sulfate per year, while magnesium sulfate will be obtained from astrakhanite.

Additional projects worth $200 million are planned in the chemical industry, along with the creation of 5,000 jobs.
