New Investigation Launched into Google

Turkey’s competition authority has launched a large-scale investigation into Google over suspected violations of competition laws related to the use of artificial intelligence technologies.

The investigation covers several entities belonging to the US-based corporation Alphabet Inc., including Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC, Google International LLC, and its Turkish subsidiary, Google Advertising and Marketing Ltd.

Under temporary restrictions imposed by the regulator, the company has been prohibited from forcibly incorporating news media content into its artificial intelligence systems.
