Social Media Ban for Children Under 15 Comes Into Force! Where?

A law banning children under the age of 15 from using social media has come into force in Türkiye. Under the law, users younger than 15 are prohibited from registering or creating accounts on social media platforms. The platforms are also required to close existing accounts belonging to such users.

According to the legislation, social media platforms that violate these requirements may face fines, advertising bans and, in certain cases, internet bandwidth restrictions of up to 90%. This was reported by «rg.ru».
