Vatican to Submit a Film for the Oscars for the First Time

For the first time in the 97-year history of the Academy Awards, the Vatican will submit a film for consideration in the competition for the prestigious award.

The short documentary film titled “Green Lava” will be presented for the award.

The film “Green Lava” will be screened from September 18 to September 24 at the Lumiere Music Hall cinema in Beverly Hills.

After that, the film’s production team will prepare the necessary documents to submit it for the Academy Award in the category of “Best Documentary Short Film.”

This will be the first film produced by the Vatican.
