How Does X-Ray Radiation Affect the Body?!
X-rays are a form of ionizing radiation and can pose a certain degree of health risk because they can damage human cells and DNA. Radiation can damage DNA inside cells, potentially leading to abnormal cell division and mutations.
Frequent exposure to X-rays over time may increase the likelihood of developing cancer. Tissues whose cells divide rapidly are the most sensitive to radiation.
Although such effects are rare during routine medical X-rays, excessively high levels of radiation can cause skin redness and hair loss.
