Turkmenistan’s Delegation Participates in the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency

In Vienna, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Azat Ovezov, Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry of the country, took part in the 70th regular session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Turkmenistan reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear and radiation safety, as well as the peaceful use of nuclear science and technologies.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in the healthcare sector, including the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases, as well as the support provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency to the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center in Ashgabat.
