A special wristband has been developed for people who cannot swim

A special wristband designed to rescue drowning people has been released.

The airbag in this wristband, invented by Japanese scientists, inflates when the swimmer presses a button while drowning. It then lifts the swimmer to the surface of the water.

These wristbands have already gone on sale in Japan.
