New Lexus RX Crossover to Get a More Distinctive Design

The front end will be redesigned to give the vehicle a more modern and distinctive appearance. Inside the cabin, a larger central display will be installed, while the controls and steering wheel will be updated in line with the styling of the new “ES” and “TZ” models.

The extensively updated model is expected to enter the Japanese market in the summer of 2027. Lexus is continuing preparations to introduce a more thoroughly modernized version of the fifth-generation RX crossover. The new model is expected to debut first in Japan in June–July 2027.

According to available information, the main powertrain lineup will remain largely unchanged. In Japan, the Lexus RX is expected to continue being offered with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, a hybrid system based on a 2.5-liter engine, a plug-in hybrid version, and a 2.4-liter turbo hybrid system in the “RX500h F Sport Performance” version.

However, further refinement of the overall powertrain and transmission settings is expected.
