President of Turkmenistan Receives French Ambassador

On September 9, the President of Turkmenistan received Ms. Alena Grand, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Turkmenistan. She presented her credentials to the Head of State.

As noted during the meeting, the French Republic is one of Turkmenistan’s key partners in Europe. Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing cooperation in trade and economic relations, energy, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that Turkmenistan and France cooperate successfully not only bilaterally, but also within international structures. Relations within such respected international organizations as the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe provide a clear example of this.

Alena Grand, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Turkmenistan, stated that it was a great honour to carry out her diplomatic mission in neutral Turkmenistan and assured that she would make every effort to bring interstate cooperation to a new level for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
