The world’s most valuable football brands have been identified
Real Madrid has been named the world’s most valuable football brand for the third consecutive year in Brand Finance’s Football 50 ranking.
The brand value increased by a quarter, reaching $2.766 billion. One of the reasons behind this growth was the renovated Santiago Bernabéu stadium, which generated €1.2 billion in revenue for the club. This helped offset sporting setbacks and frequent changes of coaches.
The total value of the world’s 50 leading football brands reached a record level of €23.9 billion.
Barcelona retained second place in the ranking with a value of $2.276 billion. The biggest surprise was Arsenal: the London club climbed five positions at once, taking third place with a value of $1.772 billion. It also became the most valuable football brand in the United Kingdom.
