Apple Unveils Flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Smartphones
Apple has unveiled its flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max smartphones. They feature the new A20 Pro chip, upgraded cameras and a more compact Dynamic Island. While retaining the previous design, the Dynamic Island has been made slightly smaller. Some Face ID components are now placed beneath the display, reducing the size of the upper screen area.
Performance is powered by the A20 Pro chip. Apple highlighted significant gains in power and energy efficiency, noting that the new cooling system helps sustain high performance for longer periods.
The main specifications of the new models include:
- Display: 6.3 inches for iPhone 18 Pro and 6.9 inches for Pro Max;
- Screen: OLED Super Retina XDR with ProMotion technology up to 120 Hz;
- Processor: A20 Pro chip built on a 2 nm process;
- Cameras: three 48 MP cameras;
- Main camera: variable aperture;
- Modem: Apple C2;
- Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread support;
- Operating system: iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI;
- Storage: from 256 GB to 2 TB.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be available in four colors: black, silver, ice and a new dark purple.
The iPhone 18 Pro is reported to start at $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. Pre-orders will begin on September 12, with official sales starting on September 18.
