Construction of Ashgabat–Dashoguz Highway Launched in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan, ceremonies were held with the participation of the President of the country to launch construction of the new 546-kilometer Ashgabat–Dashoguz highway and to commission a 43.6-kilometer road section stretching from Garabogaz to the state border with Kazakhstan, which forms part of the International North–South Transport Corridor.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan Dovran Atayev during his speech at the CIET 2026 conference held in Ashgabat.

According to him, the commissioning of the new infrastructure facilities marked another stage in modernizing the country's road infrastructure and strengthening its transit transport and logistics capabilities.
