Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 16-year-old son of Al-Nassr and Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo, has received his first call-up to Portugal's under-17 national team (U17). The young footballer is also known in the football world by the nickname Cristianinho.
Portugal U17 head coach Filipe Ramos announced a 23-player squad to prepare for the opening qualifying matches of the 2027 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, with Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. included in the selection.
The team's training camp will take place from November 6 to 17. Portugal's youth squad will play three home matches against Andorra on November 11, Bulgaria on November 14, and Serbia on November 17.
Although this is Cristianinho's first call-up to the U17 national team, he already has international experience. He previously made a total of 13 appearances for Portugal's U15 and U16 teams.
At club level, the 16-year-old, who plays as both a midfielder and a forward, trains at the youth academy of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where his father plays for the senior team.
