President of Turkmenistan Receives President of Austria’s Federal Council

On November 3, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Christine Schwarz-Fuchs, President of the Federal Council of the Republic of Austria, who arrived in the country on a visit.

During the meeting, it was noted that political and diplomatic relations between the two countries are developing positively. Turkmenistan and Austria successfully cooperate not only bilaterally but also multilaterally, particularly within the framework of the United Nations. The similarities between the two countries’ foreign policies, which are based on the principles of neutrality, provide a foundation for coordinating their actions at the international level.

Speaking about bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the President of Turkmenistan noted the significant contribution Austrian companies have made to the country’s economic development over many years. He also emphasized the successful expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the procurement of transport equipment and advanced technologies for the healthcare, chemical, and oil and gas sectors.
