Toyota has announced a recall of 228,367 vehicles in the US market for technical inspections and repairs.

Reuters reported the move citing information from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The recall affects hybrid Toyota Sienna models produced between 2022 and 2026.

According to specialists, in the event of a strong frontal impact or collision, the seatbacks may fail to remain securely locked in place.

This could increase the risk of injury to occupants inside the vehicle.
