French Club Turns Its Match Shirt into a Prize-Winning Treasure Map

French volleyball club “Royan Atlantique” has welcomed the new season not only with sporting ambitions, but also with an unusual project created for its fans.

The club, recently promoted to the country’s top division, announced a large-scale treasure hunt called “The Pirates’ Secret,” inspired by its “Pirates” nickname and identity.

As part of the campaign, the team’s newly designed black-and-yellow shirts have been transformed into a real treasure map.

Various numbers, words and hidden images are printed on the front and back of the shirt, containing clues that can help participants find a historic figurine buried somewhere in France.

The first participant to discover the hidden figurine and correctly explain the logical reasoning used to find it will receive the grand prize of €10,000.

The prize being searched for was specially prepared for the event in cooperation with the Archaeological and Historical Society of the Charente-Maritime department.

One of the most interesting aspects is that participants do not need to travel immediately to the location where the treasure may be hidden.

They can study all the complex clues on the shirt at home, together with family members or friends.

A trip to France will only be necessary at the final stage, once the exact coordinates and location on the map have been determined.

Distribution of the shirts to their owners and the official launch of the treasure hunt are scheduled for late October and early November 2026.
