Turkmen Creative Groups to Join International Festival in Dushanbe

The 8th International Puppet Theatre Festival, titled Chodari Khayol, will be held from October 21 to 26 in connection with the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence.

Creative groups from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, India, China and Mongolia have been invited to take part.

Organized jointly by the theatre and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the festival aims to expand international cooperation in puppet arts, revive and develop the ancient Tajik puppetry tradition, and enhance the aesthetic education and broaden the outlook of younger generations.
