Magnetic Fluid Developed for Tumor Treatment
Scientists have created a stable water-based magnetic fluid containing nanoparticles of iron and cobalt oxides.
In the future, this fluid could be used for the targeted destruction of tumor cells and the diagnosis of various diseases.
The new fluid consists of water and nanoparticles of cobalt and iron oxides. There is no need to add stabilizing agents, polymers, or acids.
To obtain the material, researchers improved the conventional synthesis method by using ultrasonic treatment and adjusting the ratio of components.
