President of Turkmenistan Receives Japanese State Minister

On September 11, the President of Turkmenistan received Japan’s State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Kenji Yamada, who was visiting the country.

It was noted during the meeting that friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are developing consistently on the principles of mutual respect, equality and trust. Bilateral relations are multifaceted and encompass political and diplomatic, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Speaking about political and diplomatic relations, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that reciprocal high-level visits in recent years have helped bring cooperation in this area to a qualitatively new level. Relations are developing successfully not only bilaterally but also multilaterally, within the framework of the Central Asia–Japan Dialogue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and Japan’s State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kenji Yamada expressed confidence that traditional friendly Turkmen-Japanese relations and effective cooperation would continue to develop for the benefit of both countries and their peoples, and exchanged their best wishes.
