High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly Begins

The general political debates of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly began on Tuesday.

The general debates will take place from September 22 to 26 and conclude on September 28. Representatives of 193 member states, observer states, and the European Union will deliver statements in turn, presenting their views on important political issues.

The theme of the 81st session is “Restoring trust and managing transformations: the UN that works for the well-being of all.”

The session is chaired by Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman.
