Telephone Conversation Held Between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

A telephone conversation was held between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan. It was noted that the Uzbek President sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, happiness, and new successes in his state activities.

The President of Uzbekistan conveyed his warm greetings to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty. In turn, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed his best wishes to the Uzbek leader on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

During the conversation, important issues of further developing friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were discussed.

Special attention was paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation. The steady growth of trade turnover and the implementation of joint projects in energy, transport, and other important sectors were noted with satisfaction.
