Hero-Arkadag Reviews Conditions Created for Akhal-Teke Horses

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited a scenic area at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, where he reviewed the conditions created for Akhal-Teke horses and the progress of work aimed at their further breeding and development. Hero-Arkadag arrived at a structure built in honor of the legendary Yanardag, whose image appears on the State Emblem of Turkmenistan.

At the site, H. Hajymyradov, Manager of the Administrative Office of the President of Turkmenistan, provided detailed information on the construction features of the road, the compliance of each stage with international standards, and the level of landscaping in the surrounding area. It was noted that the road fully meets high standards and that stone laying, leveling, and compaction of the road layers were carried out in accordance with advanced modern practices.

The National Leader then drove around the “Yanardag” structure. The lighting system of the new road has been equipped using innovative technologies and modern best practices. Particular attention was paid to the quality, straightness, and smoothness of the road surface. The National Leader, who holds Akhal-Teke horses in special esteem, then arrived at the “Atly Aylaw” circular road, whose design depicts the transformation of a foal into a stately horse. B. Rejepov, Vice President of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, provided information on the landscaping of the circular road, modernization of roadside areas, and the features of the local lighting system.

Hero-Arkadag emphasized the importance of carrying out all work related to Akhal-Teke horses to a high standard, noting that such efforts not only enhance the beauty of the area but also uplift the human spirit. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty then continued to the extensively modernized and reconstructed Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. One of its main features is a composition consisting of a globe with a foal placed on top. P. Bayramdurdyyev, Rector of the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding, spoke about the distinctive features of the sculpture.

The base of the globe, designed for the first time in the region in the form of butterflies, carries deep symbolic meaning. Among many peoples of the world, including Turkmens, the butterfly is regarded as a symbol of openness of the soul, rebirth, love, beauty, freedom, and tranquility. In the composition, the butterfly symbolizes overcoming life’s difficulties, development, and harmony with nature, while its wings represent freedom, the beauty of life, and elegance.

Hero-Arkadag highly praised the original design of the composition. It symbolically shows how the foal of the Akhal-Teke horse, which has become a source of national pride for the Turkmen people, rises above the world and is recognized internationally as a model of excellence.

The complex also includes what is described as the world’s first photo studio specially designed for photography with horses. It features settings representing the four seasons. A separate section depicts the Caspian Sea, where modern technologies make it possible to create the impression of a horse standing by the seashore. Taking photographs with a horse appearing to stroll along the coast is intended to leave visitors with memorable impressions.

Given the need to ensure a steady supply of feed for the horses kept at the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, plots of land have also been allocated for growing feed crops. Carrots and apple orchards are cultivated there. The National Leader visited an area where carrots are grown. B. Rejepov reported that feed crops are being cultivated within the complex and that a rich harvest of local varieties of carrots and apples has been produced this year.

At that moment, the horses released into the open area became especially energetic. The noble horses ran freely across the spacious grounds. Their spirit and vigor reflected, as noted, the country’s dynamic development and the close bond between humans and horses. The National Leader’s intelligent horse, seemingly sensing the attention shown to it, became even more spirited.
