Over the past seven months of this year, domestic product growth in the country reached 6.3 per cent. Growth amounted to 2.6 per cent in industry, 6.7 per cent in construction, 10.3 per cent in the transport and communications sector, 8.5 per cent in trade, 4.1 per cent in agriculture and 8.4 per cent in services.
Compared with the corresponding period of last year, total production from January to July of this year increased by 10.4 per cent, and positive production results were achieved across the sectors of the economy.
During the reporting period, retail trade turnover increased by 10.1 per cent and foreign trade turnover by 9 per cent compared with the corresponding period of last year.
According to the results for January–July of this year, the revenue plan of the State Budget was fulfilled by 101.1 per cent and the expenditure plan by 97.3 per cent.
During the reporting period, salaries, pensions, state benefits and student allowances were financed on time at budget-funded organisations and self-financing state enterprises.
The volume of capital investment utilised from all sources of financing increased by 4.7 per cent compared with the corresponding period of last year.
This was reported at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held by the President of Turkmenistan via the digital system on August 1.
