A new natural gas flow has been obtained in the Caspian Sea

The A8 production well at the Magtymguly gas field, located within the Block-1 contract area of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, has been successfully drilled to a depth of 4,981 meters. As a result of high-quality underground operations, an industrially significant natural gas flow of more than 1.3 million cubic meters per day, as well as nearly 130 tons of gas condensate, was obtained.

Currently, the initial development works of the well are continuing, and further growth in production volumes is expected in the future. This major achievement is the result of operations carried out under the Production Sharing Agreement signed between Malaysia’s PETRONAS Carigali company and the State Concern Türkmennebit.

In the next stage of cooperation, large-scale projects for the development of the 19th and 20th offshore blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea will also be implemented successfully. In addition, 2D seismic surveys are planned for the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th offshore blocks.
