The delegation of Turkmenistan participated in a consultative meeting held in Islamabad

A delegation from the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan participated in a consultative meeting on the digital corridor held in Islamabad.

The consultative meeting was attended by Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; Emma Fan, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank’s Pakistan Resident Mission; as well as senior representatives of government agencies, telecommunications operators, regulatory authorities, international organisations, development partners and technical experts from nine member countries of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Programme.

Representatives of Turkmenistan briefed the forum participants on the extensive work being carried out in the country to modernise telecommunications infrastructure, develop digital public services and introduce modern digital solutions, including in the healthcare sector.
