Relevant work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to modernize national legislation

Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova reported on this matter during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via a digital system on July 24.

It was noted that the Mejlis is carrying out relevant work to prepare draft laws of Turkmenistan aimed at protecting human rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, ensuring the state registration of rights to immovable property, and providing legal support for the country’s accession to international instruments. Work is also under way to introduce modern amendments and additions to a number of existing legislative acts.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the country’s legislative framework and modernize its legal acts.
