A meeting with a US senator was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Recently, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredow, held a meeting with US Senator from Montana, Steve Daines. During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the issues of developing inter-parliamentary cooperation as an effective tool for strengthening mutual understanding and expanding bilateral partnership. Special attention was also paid to the issues of trade and economic cooperation. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the energy sector, as well as the possibilities of intensifying interaction in the fields of trade, investments, transport, and logistics. In this regard, the important role of the "Turkmenistan – US" Business Council in expanding mutually beneficial relations between the business circles of the two countries was emphasized. During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place on important issues of the regional and international agenda.
