Election commissions have been re-established in the Lebap velayat
Due to the expiration of the term of office of the etrap (district) and city election commissions, the election commissions have been re-established in the Lebap velayat. In accordance with Article 18 of the Election Code of Turkmenistan, the process of nominating representatives for membership in the new composition of etrap and city election commissions was carried out in an organized manner at the meetings of velayat, etrap, and city organizations of political parties and public associations, as well as at gatherings of citizen groups.
For membership in the new composition of the Turkmenabat city and Charjew, Darganata, Danew, Dowletli, Farap, Garabekewul, Halach, Hojambaz, Kerki, Koytendag, and Sayat etrap election commissions, the following were nominated: 37 representatives from the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, 4 from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country, 12 from the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, 37 from the Trade Unions of the country, 10 from the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, 21 from the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, and 11 from citizen groups, making a total of 132 individuals.
Of the total number of nominated representatives, 33.33 percent are women and 30.30 percent are youth.
In accordance with Article 32 of the Election Code of Turkmenistan, based on the minutes of the meetings of political parties, public associations, and gatherings of citizen groups regarding the nomination of representatives to the etrap and city election commissions, these etrap and city election commissions were re-established by the velayat election commission.
The work to re-establish these election commissions was carried out in an organized manner and within the specified timeframe, based on the plan approved by the Central Election Commission.
