New Facilities to Be Built in Arkadag City
Concept designs for buildings and facilities scheduled for construction and commissioning during the second phase of Arkadag City's development were presented to the public at the CIET 2026 international exhibition held in Ashgabat. The official opening ceremonies for these high-tech facilities are scheduled for 2027.
Arkadag Shopping and Community Center. Surrounded by green spaces, the center will feature an architectural design inspired by the shape of a sunflower.
Saglyk Park. The city's recreational area will feature flowing water reservoirs, a concert venue, and sculptural compositions depicting Akhal-Teke horses and camel caravans.
Horseshoe-Shaped Bus Terminal. Reflecting the year's national motto, the new bus terminal has been designed to resemble a small airport. Located 35 kilometers from Ashgabat, it will be capable of serving 1,500 passengers per day.
The facility was designed by Ýiti Galam, while construction is being carried out by Kent Gurluşyk Economic Society. The terminal will include two separate sections dedicated to intercity and international routes.
Only environmentally friendly electric buses and electric vehicles will be used to serve passengers. The complex will also feature modern scanning equipment, security and inspection services, shopping centers, and car showrooms.
All facilities scheduled for commissioning during the second phase of Arkadag City's development will be fully equipped with smart home systems, high-speed 5G connectivity, artificial intelligence-based video surveillance, and automated traffic management systems.
