An awareness-raising meeting was held in Lebap Velayat

An awareness-raising meeting titled “Forward, forward, only forward along the bright path of the Hero-Arkadag, my beloved Motherland Turkmenistan!” was held in the conference hall of the Lebap Velayat Administration. The event was organised to ensure proper preparations for the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country’s sacred Independence during the year “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Akhal-Teke Horses.”

The meeting considered the tasks set by the Hero-Arkadag at the recent regular meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. In particular, the participants discussed providing organisational and methodological support to the work of the people’s councils of velayats, etraps and cities in preparation for the Halk Maslahaty meeting, as well as reviewing proposals and other appeals received from citizens.

As noted, the principal goal and key objectives of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan are to strengthen the unity, solidarity and well-being of the people and to contribute to the further development of the Independent, Permanently Neutral state.

In this regard, the National Leader issued instructions on broadly involving the public in the implementation of national programmes, developing proposals, working jointly with the deputies of the Mejlis and the Government of the country, responding promptly to the challenges of the time and preparing relevant initiatives.
