The first World Championship of Akhal-Teke horses outside Turkmenistan will be held in The Hague

This was announced during a meeting held in The Hague between Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Joost Flamand, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and Director-General for Political Affairs.

The main topic of the talks was the preparation for an equestrian competition among Akhal-Teke horses and a world beauty championship, scheduled to be held in September 2026 at the Peelbergen Equestrian Sports Complex in the province of Limburg.

The upcoming event will be the first large-scale international competition of its kind for Akhal-Teke horses to be held outside Turkmenistan.
