A number of cultural events will be held in Turkmenistan in August
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova presented a report on the programme of major events scheduled for August during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via a digital system on July 24.
It was noted that a variety of celebrations, exhibitions, conferences and public-awareness events are planned for the coming month in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the year “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Swift Horses and Noble Aspirations,” as well as the 35th anniversary of the country’s sacred Independence.
During the summer holiday season, cultural and public events, creative and talent competitions, sports tournaments, artistic reading contests and competitions in national games are planned for children.
Field training seminars entitled “The Role of Historical Monuments in Studying the Values Inherited from Our Ancestors” are expected to be held at the country’s historical and cultural monument complexes, while a conference entitled “The Natural Beauty of the Kopetdag Mountains” will be organized at the Kopetdag State Nature Reserve.
The final rounds of the “Ýaňlan, Diýarym!” television competition for young amateur singers in the Lebap and Mary regions, as well as the final stage of the “Çalsana, bagşy!” competition, are also planned.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that many events are being held across the country during the year “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Swift Horses and Noble Aspirations.”
In this regard, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure thorough preparations for the events scheduled for August and to conduct them at a high level.
