Turkmenbashi and Batumi may become sister cities

As part of the state visit to Georgia, bilateral talks were held between the President of Turkmenistan and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasised the importance of continuing to establish sister-city relations between the cities of Turkmenistan and Georgia. He noted that three years ago an agreement was signed to establish sister-city ties between Arkadag and the Georgian city of Telavi, and proposed discussing the establishment of similar relations between the coastal cities of Turkmenbashi and Batumi.
