Social media will now be restricted for teenagers in the United Kingdom

It has been reported that restrictions on social media use will be introduced in the United Kingdom for teenagers aged 16 and 17, starting at midnight.

In addition, features that encourage users to spend more time on the platforms will be disabled by default.

In April, the government announced plans to ban children under the age of 16 from using social media.

The restrictions are now being extended to older teenagers as well.
