A meeting of the co-chairs of the Turkmen–Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held

On July 27, a meeting of the co-chairs of the Turkmen–Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Turkmen–Iranian cooperation, as well as collaboration in the bilateral format and, primarily, within authoritative international structures such as the United Nations.

The parties also discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation and exchanged views on further strengthening the role and importance of the Turkmen–Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
