Modernization work at the “Sarahs Highways” customs checkpoint has been completed

The country’s border checkpoints are currently being modernized in stages, with their vehicle-handling capacity being increased.

Construction work to modernize the “Sarahs Highways” customs checkpoint, located on the Turkmen–Iranian border, has recently been completed.

During the work, buildings and facilities within the customs checkpoint were renovated, and conditions were created to help accelerate the movement of vehicles through the checkpoint.

A digital management system for monitoring and recording the movement of vehicles and goods has also been put into operation at the checkpoint.

It should also be noted that the “Garabogaz” and “Artyk” customs checkpoints were renovated and commissioned during the current year.
