The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Malaysia met with UNESCAP Executive Secretary A. S. Alisjahbana

M. Mashalov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, held a meeting with Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of UNESCAP, at the office of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok during his official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand.

During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of strengthening cooperation in sustainable development, economic cooperation, climate change adaptation and combating desertification.

They also discussed the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to establish a Regional Centre for Combating Desertification for Central Asian countries in Ashgabat.
