The newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Turkmenistan presented his credentials

On the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of Boumediene Guennad, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Turkmenistan.

On behalf of the Head of State, the head of the national parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the high diplomatic post and wished him success in his responsible work to further develop friendly relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Ambassador was acquainted with the main areas of the domestic and peace-loving foreign policy of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, the structure of the Mejlis and its multifaceted activities aimed at modernising the country’s legislative framework.

The importance of Turkmenistan’s positive initiatives aimed at strengthening global peace and security and ensuring sustainable development was also noted.
