A new Consul General of Iran has been appointed in Mary
Seyed Mostafa Hosseinipour has been appointed as Iran’s new Consul General in Mary.
Before departing for his new post, the diplomat met with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the meeting, they discussed the priority areas of the consulate’s activities.
Araghchi emphasised the importance of Iranian-Turkmen relations and noted the need to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the economic, transit and cultural sectors.
Turkmenistan and Iran share a common border and have been developing bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy, transport and trade for many years.
