Our country presented its approaches to strategic human capital planning and sustainable development

Turkmenistan presented its approaches to developing human capital and its role in economic transformation at a regional policy development meeting held in Ankara from July 22 to 24 of this year within the framework of the United Nations Development Programme’s Development Strategy and Financing Platform.

At the heart of Turkmenistan’s approach is the recognition of human capital as one of the main drivers of economic growth.

Investment in education delivers greater economic efficiency when the quality of human capital can be measured and the training of specialists is directly linked to the current and future needs of the economy.

Together with the United Nations Development Programme, Turkmenistan is developing a strategic human capital planning approach that aligns the quality of education and skills, demographic trends, and the number of specialists to be trained in the future with labour market demand, productivity, and prospects for economic growth.
