Large-scale exploration work has begun in the Caspian Sea
Large-scale projects involving Malaysia’s PETRONAS will soon be launched in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea to develop new hydrocarbon deposits and conduct exploration work at promising oil and gas structures.
The projects were discussed during bilateral talks held as part of the official visit to Turkmenistan by a delegation headed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
At the high-level meeting, the parties confirmed the productive nature of their longstanding cooperation in the energy sector.
The talks resulted in important agreements on implementing new joint projects in the oil and gas industry, increasing oil production capacity on Turkmenistan’s Caspian coast and developing sustainable investment cooperation.
This was reported in an article published in the “Turkmenistan” newspaper.
