The Turkmenbashi Olympic Aquatic Sports Complex has reopened following major renovations

The Turkmenbashi Olympic Aquatic Sports Complex in Ashgabat has reopened after the completion of major renovation work.

The complex’s facilities fully comply with the standards of the international aquatics federation. The indoor swimming facility is designed to accommodate 1,741 people at a time.

The complex includes a large swimming pool measuring 50 metres in length, 25 metres in width and 3 metres in depth; a diving pool measuring 15 metres in length, 25 metres in width and 5 metres in depth; a water park measuring 12.70 × 25 metres; a children’s pool measuring 12.40 × 14.40 metres and 80 centimetres in depth; a sports hall; a specially equipped training gym; a sauna and steam room; changing rooms; a medical room; relaxation rooms for athletes; a 200-seat dining hall; a café; and volleyball and basketball courts.
