The delegation of Turkmenistan is participating in a political forum being held in New York

On July 7, the High-Level Political Forum, held under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, began its work at the UN Headquarters in New York. The forum will continue until July 15.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Perhat Yagshyyew, includes representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics. The delegation is participating in the work of this prestigious international forum from July 13 to 15.

The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is the UN’s main global platform for reviewing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Since 2015, the forum has brought together representatives of governments, international organisations, business communities and civil society each year to coordinate efforts aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The main theme of this year’s forum was defined as “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for a sustainable future for all.”
