PC Version of “GTA VI” Could Be Released in 2027
According to insider information shared with “GamesBeat,” “Rockstar Games” is reportedly considering releasing the PC version of “Grand Theft Auto VI” during the first three months of 2027.
The “PlayStation 5” and “Xbox Series X/S” versions are expected to launch on November 19, 2026. However, the developers have not yet officially announced a release date for the PC version.
If the reports are confirmed, PC players could gain access to the new installment much sooner than they did with previous entries in the series. For example, “GTA V” first launched on consoles in the fall of 2013, while the PC version became available only one year and seven months later.
Analysts note that an earlier PC release could be strategically important for increasing sales and attracting a broader player base.
User-created mods and role-playing (RP) servers may also influence the timing. In 2023, “Rockstar” acquired “Cfx.re,” the team behind the popular “FiveM” platform for “GTA V.”
Since such servers are especially popular on PC, bringing the new game to the platform sooner could have significant strategic value.
In addition, reports that emerged in August suggested that “GTA VI” may introduce a large-scale motorsport system for the first time.
Players could be offered several types of events, including circuit races, off-road obstacle races, motocross, and street competitions in urban areas.
