6-Carat Diamond Worth About $250,000 Found in U.S. Park

U.S. Navy reservist Jack Pireydin found a 6.03-carat diamond at the “Crater of Diamonds” State Park in Arkansas.

According to The Independent, the stone is the largest diamond discovered in the park this year.

Pireydin has been searching for precious stones since 2013 and regularly visits the park. When he found the stone this year, he immediately noticed that it looked different from ordinary rocks.

After the discovery, some collectors suggested that its value could exceed $1 million. However, one experienced expert estimated that a diamond of this quality and size would be worth around $250,000.
