Smart Headphones Can Now Detect Mental Fatigue
U.S. neurotechnology company Neurable has introduced headphones equipped with a non-invasive technology that enables interaction between the brain and a computer without requiring surgery.
The device analyzes brain activity and can determine how mentally fatigued the user is.
The headphones, called “Neurable One,” are fitted with 12 electroencephalography (EEG) sensors embedded inside nylon ear cushions. These sensors record the brain’s electrical activity.
The “Neurable” app analyzes the collected data and identifies periods of increased mental activity. The system also advises users when it may be time to take a break.
