Russia Raises Fees for Urgent Visa Processing for Foreign Nationals

Starting from October 14, 2026, the cost of urgent processing of Russian visas for foreign nationals increased significantly.

According to information provided by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, the cost of urgent visa processing within 3 working days has doubled compared with previous rates.

The new rules came into force in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation on October 2, 2026.

The higher fees apply to most types of visas processed on an urgent basis, with the exception of standard student and transit visas. Consular fees for work visas and visas related to obtaining a temporary residence permit (RVP) have also been revised.

New consular fee rates:

Private, business, and humanitarian visas:

• Standard processing: single-entry — $80, double-entry — $128, multiple-entry — $240

• Urgent processing: single-entry — $320, double-entry — $512, multiple-entry — $960

Tourist visas:

• Standard processing: single-entry — $80, double-entry — $128

• Urgent processing: single-entry — $320, double-entry — $512

Temporary residence permit (RVP) visas:

• Standard single-entry — $160

• Urgent single-entry — $640

Work visas:

• Standard processing: single-entry — $160, double-entry — $256, multiple-entry — $480

• Urgent processing: single-entry — $640, double-entry — $1,024, multiple-entry — $1,920

Fees for other services provided by the consulate remain unchanged.

The diplomatic mission advises visa applicants to familiarize themselves with the new rates in advance and to bring the necessary funds for payment at the consular section’s cashier.
