New Version of the Ford Mustang Revealed
An unusual vehicle has appeared in Ford’s experimental vehicle section and attracted considerable attention — a Mustang with a pickup-style body.
The unusual project was created by specialists and students completing industrial training at the company. The practical work gave them an opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in real automotive production.
The young specialists removed the rear seats and standard luggage compartment and replaced them with a small cargo bed. Some of the necessary parts used in the project were taken from the “Ford Ranger” pickup.
In terms of exterior design, the vehicle was intended to resemble the classic “Ford Ranchero,” but it ultimately looked more like the modern compact “Hyundai Santa Cruz” pickup.
The vehicle’s ground clearance also appears to have been increased. According to design specialists, either a lowered suspension or large off-road tires could suit the model even better.
The company does not plan to put this unusual sports car and pickup hybrid into mass production. It will remain a conceptual experimental prototype.
Even so, the unusual model has already attracted significant interest among Ford fans and automotive specialists.
