Nearly 10 Million Tonnes of Turkmen Oil Transported via the BTC Pipeline

From 2023 through August 2026, nearly 10 million tonnes of Turkmen crude oil were transported to global markets via the strategic Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline.

This was announced by Kamal Abbasov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during a plenary session of the 31st International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2026” (OGT 2026), held in Ashgabat.

During his speech, he noted that the two neighboring countries — Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan — are developing long-term and reliable cooperation in the energy sector, as well as in the trade of crude oil, petroleum products and petrochemical products.
