Signs of a New Planet in the Solar System Have Been Detected

The idea that another planet may exist in the Solar System beyond the eight known planets has been discussed for a long time. However, until now, no conclusive evidence of a ninth planet had been found.

According to “Wion,” Taiwanese scientists have made an important step in this direction. They detected a faint and slow-moving object with characteristics considered consistent with the proposed ninth planet.

The researchers analyzed infrared data collected decades ago. They found an object that appeared in one location during an earlier survey and had shifted to a different position in a second survey conducted 23 years later.

The study by scientists from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan was published in the journal of the Astronomical Society of Australia. According to the authors, after analyzing millions of infrared sources, this object stood out as the strongest candidate.

However, the researchers stress that this does not yet fully confirm the existence of a ninth planet. The true nature of the object still needs to be conclusively verified or ruled out.
